Stompin Tom is awesome
Thank you so much for sharing this. It brings back a lot of memories. I used to try to catch Countrytime whenever I could but we didn't always get to see it out west. I had the great pleasure of spending a couple years on the road with Vic Mullen . Vic was an incrdibly tallented man who was always willing and eager to share his musical wisdom to help others get to the next level . It was an honour to share the stage with Vic. I learned a lot from him .

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Trash music.
Both of these are great. The story about the Halifax Explosion and the resulting devastation and deaths is the reason why, today, the people of Nova Scotia will forever be grateful to the people of Boston, Massachusetts ... because they sent in trains of medical supplies, food, clothing and furniture to the people here who were wiped out by that explosion. In fact, there is a Christmas tree on its way to Boston Common as I write this, ... a continuing annual gift from us to Boston's people for their contribution to Halifax in its greatest time of need. Thanks Boston and a very Merry Christmas !
Mi è sempre piaciuta la musica country
Stompin Tom is my hero from the beginning i love every song he wrote all good
A Great Canadian! A Great Songwritter!

My original music influence stompin Tom!
I’m an American Stompin’ Tom fan. He’s right up there with all the greats. I’m envious of Canada that they have him, because he truly was incredible. God bless you, Tom. You’re right up there with Hank and Willie and Cash. No question.
With you 🇺🇸 Stompin Tom 🫡 fan ( couldn’t say it better
I’m born in 1973, and I’m proud to say that Stompin’ Tom Connors is my hero. I own all his records and read everything about him. For my sake and yours bring back the kitchen parties
Myself and comrades, stumbled in by chance, to a very small tavern in London Ontario, and I had heard the name Stompin Tom and also the song Tillsonburg prior. This is in the heady times of the early 80s and Stompin Tom went thru his repertoire of favorites as a true showman, playing to stoners like us, and the regulars. Show was good, I thought at that time. Now, as I reflect, it was really fantastic and his talent shines so bright, as a brilliant Canadien Super Star. Tip of the hat to yas Tom. Need more youtube material of the man performing.
I’m from Collingwood and Stompin’ Tom was well known there. I never saw him, was a bit too young, but he would play the old Arlington (since burnt down) and it was said he would get in the odd donnybrook with the local drunks. I always like to hear his song “Around the Bay and Back Again” where he names Collingwood and a couple of other towns I lived in. Anyways, he was a true legend and a rare one in Canada- a legend in the true sense of the word.
As far as vocalists go the late Ron Naugle was the star. Often wondered why he didn't make it big in country music.
You are Correct, Fred.. Tom was not a regular on that series.. He was a Guest for TWO Shows..
Tom is the best...

Canada's answer to Hank Williams: Stompin Tom Connors!
As a fan of both I don't see the connection.
@@rodneynicholauson4566 Because he did it his own way like Hank did he just always reminded me of the same type or caliber of Hank Williams
@@rodneynicholauson4566 You dont have to understand it ,it's just something I always felt !

Are there any more of these Country Time episodes out there?
I'm sure there are more, out there.. If anybody has any, I'd sure like to add them to my Library.. I am sure I have more, but I am unable to find them.. sigh..
The CBC butterfly was Canada's answer to NBC'S Peacock
Those Videos were in Colour.. However, I only had a Black and White VCR.. When I got a colour VCR, I was unable to locate the Cassettes.. I'm pretty sure I had more Tapes of that series but I am unable to locate them.. sigh..

Anybody know what ever became of Gerry Cole? He sounded like he could have been a big star?
I worked with Jerry for '68 to I think '73/'74.. We parted Company on Great Terms,, we went our own ways. Jerry struggled with a Form of Cancer.. I have some Photos of some of His Stage Members (over the Years) on My FaceBook Page when Jerry Passed away.. R.I.P. Jerry.. sigh.. facebook.com/ax056 (scroll to PHOTOS).. Thanks for your Comments
@@woxnerw Aww that's too bad I'm sorry to hear that. RIP And you're welcome. Thanks for the reply
I haven't seen that butterfly in years, I've thought about it through the years though. I would have just turned 5 living in Thompson, Manitoba when this aired. I probably watched it, as well.
The early series AIR'd after the Saturday night Hockey Game.. It had a Great AIR Time..
Donna Ramsey went on to work on The Tommy Hunter show as one half of the singing duo Donna and Leroy!!
